Happy Father's Day!

So, today we celebrated Father's Day for Kevin. Yep, I know, we are only 3 months late. I was so sick with my first trimester, I couldn't even think about doing something for Kev on Father's Day. The night before Father's Day I cried and told him I was so sorry I wouldn't be able to give him a good day. He was super sweet and didn't mind at all, and ended up taking care of me and all the kids that day. So, I vowed to myself that even though it would be late I would give him a good Father's Day...eventually.

So, this morning I got up with the kids before he did; ever since being pregnant he has been great to get up with the kids on the weekends to let me rest more. So we got up and while I made him a yummy breakfast in bed the girls colored him pictures and Kyle ran around causing his usual mayhem. We then sang him "Happy Father's Day" (happy birthday tune) and woke him up with pictures and breakfast in bed.

Then we didn't spend any real time with him until afternoon, when all of his different church responsibilities were over and done with for the day. Then I got to make him pork chops on the grill, potato casserole and some freshly home canned peaches. It was delectable, if I do say so myself. :o) And the kids and I gave him a book, I can NEVER go wrong in getting Kev a book. He loves to read and we love building up our library so it is fun to have excuses to buy a new book every now and then.

So, here is a shout out to my wonderful hubby. Happy (late) Father's Day. You are an amazing father and awesome husband. Thanks for all you do for the kids and me. We love you so much!

Boy or Girl!?!

Well, today we had our ultrasound and found out that our baby is in excellent health. Everything seems to be right on track and very healthy. We feel so blessed to have a healthy baby on the way. We also found out that we will be having another GIRL!!! Wahoo! We are so trilled, we would have been just as thrilled to have a boy coming but we are so excited to start decorating, thinking of names and just anticipating the arrival of another sweet angel girl to come our way. I am already looking forward to getting out all my girl clothes and getting them organized! Anyway, fun stuff!

Labor Day and Bear Lake...awesome combination!!

For Labor Day we got to go to Bear Lake with a couple of families in our ward. We got to stay at a cabin on the lake and have a great time. We jet skied, boated, tubed, wake surfed, knee boarded, and lots of other fun stuff. We also had a good time stuffing our faces with yummy food and playing fun games. Thanks for a great weekend guys!

Hailee and Livy!

Rae and Kyle! I always feel bad for little kids that have to wear life jackets, they always look so squished... but poor Kyle is not a "little" kid and he looks VERY squished.

Here we are playing a fun Finnish lawn game that my parents sent us for Christmas last year. It is really fun and we had a goof time playing it this weekend, it is called "Palikka."

Here is Kyle jumping from bed to bed in our cabin. It was so funny, he would miss his foot on the bed most of the time, but thankfully the inertia of his body would pull him forward enough to land on the bed still. We had several small heart attacks along with lots of laughing.

First time on the bus!

Hailee and I both had our apprehensions to her riding the bus. She had to opportunity to ride on her second day of school but the night before about an hour after she had gone to bed she came out of her room on the verge of tears and said, "Mom, I don't think I am ready to ride the bus yet." I told her I would take her and pick her up as long as she wanted me too and she felt much better. But for the next few days she would go back and forth, she wanted to, but was also still very nervous. But finally on her third day of school she decided to ride the bus home. I thought and worried about her the whole time I knew she was on the bus, and I was so relieved when she got off the bus and was absolutely beaming! She was so excited and thought it was the coolest thing ever. Ever since then she has not had an ounce of nervousness or anxiety. I am so glad. I can't believe how grown up she is!
On her way to school!

Hailee and her school bus! :o)

Waiting at the bus stop to go to school!

The bus dropping Hailee off after school!

Hailee racing to give me her awesome bear hugs I get everyday after school! I am glad she hasn't thought it was lame to have her Mom wait for her at the bus stop. I know someday she will think it is lame, but until then, I will keep meeting her at the stop!

First Day of Kindergarten! (August 30, 2010)

Well, my baby girl is starting to grow up on me. Hailee is now in school and it is so crazy. She loves her class and her teacher and she enjoys going every single day. It's weird to send her off on her own, I just hope she has learned enough at home to start dealing with the world on her own. Scary! And exciting!

Here is a cool pencil she got in the mail that day from Grandma and Grandpa Johnson as a fun gift to her starting out school! Thanks Mom and Dad, she loves it!

Here are Rae and Kyle after we dropped Hailee off. I had to let them play on toys to cheer them up, they were both pretty sad to leave Hailee, especially Raelyn. I thought Hailee would get nervous and cry when I left, but she did awesome, she was ready to start, and I did fine, because she did fine; but poor Raelyn was so sad to leave her best friend and constant companion. So sad and so sweet!

Ready to learn and get some knowledge!

My three kiddos in Hailee's classroom! What awesome kids I have, I am so blessed!

As many of you know Hailee LOVES to draw and color, on the average day she colors and draws about 3 hours a day. She loves it and is very good, (in my humble opinion, that is :o) so when she saw that she could come right in to her class and start coloring she was hooked and I had to get her to pay attention to us and say goodbye to us, she was ready to start kindergarten. I love my angel!
