Hooray! I am now officially all caught up on blogging all of my pictures. So now I thought I would write about a couple of things people might be wondering about and give you an update!
One fun thing that has been going on the past year and a half has been that I finally decided to get serious about losing a few pounds. I started counting calories and exercising 6 days a week. It was fun to see results and start to feel better about myself. In my exercise it so happened to work out that a friend of mine in the ward wanted to join in, we have discovered that we are both social exercisers and find it a lot more enjoyable to do with someone else.
So Mary and I started exercising 5 days a week, she would bring her youngest that is still not in school over every morning at 8:30 once the kids were off to school and we would do our "30 day Shred" with Jillian Micheals. It was so fun to chat and catch up on life with each other each morning as well as see physical changes in our bodies. We started working out in September 09 and went consistently all school year long. I ended up buying a couple of other Jillian DVD's (I really like her work outs) so we could mix it up and not get bored of the same routine everyday. So we also did "Burn fat, Boost metabolism" and "No more trouble zone". If any of you are looking for some good work out videos I highly recommend all three of these Jillian DVDs.
When the weather was nice once a week in the evenings we would go out with our hubbies and play some doubles tennis which is always a blast. I love tennis and always look for an opportunity to play. Another great thing for physical activity for me has been twice a week at our church building several women and occasionally a couple of men will get together and play volleyball. I love volleyball so it is so fun for me to get to play twice a week. When Kev can break away from work he likes to come and play too, when his other guy friends can come too. We have been playing since Feb 09 so it has been a good year and a half of playing. It has been great.
Another update to talk about would be Kev's self-employment, he has now been self-employed for over a year now. He loves the work that he does and has a great time building businesses. Things always move slower that you plan or hope that they will, but things are coming along. We have been tight on money and we haven't had the success we hoped for yet, but I think things are just around the corner for us. He has had enough success to keep working and not have to find other work to compensate, and we do get our bill payed every month, so we really can't complain. I am just glad Kev loves his job, almost too much. :o) I have told him that he has a deadline now for making money, because come January we are going to have a whole host of big bills coming our way.
Our host of bills are that I am having another baby in January. Yep, I am pregnant! Wahoo! I am 18 1/2 weeks now and excited for my ultrasound in a couple of weeks to see if we have a boy or a girl on the way. Thankfully now I can talk about the pregnancy with more excitement because up until now it has been miserable. I would say it has been my hardest by far so far. I had to get lots of help from the ward, for a couple of weeks someone would take the kids for me everyday so I could rest, sleep and just be good and sick without three little ones to worry about. Mary and I made freezer meals before I got sick and they were a lifesaver. And thankfully Kev is self-employed because he worked a lot from home and he also didn't work much at all, since he had to take up all the slack of my absence. He cared for me, the kids, cooked, cleaned, ran errands, he did it all. What a guy! But let's not dwell on the negative too long, I have mostly gotten over the morning sickness and I am not too uncomfortable yet, so I am just looking forward to finding out the baby is healthy and if it is a boy or a girl! Then Kev and I can start arguing over a name! :o) And I can start on a quilt and any other projects I might want to work on before the baby comes! Fun stuff!
Anyway, thanks for putting up with all my blog updates this last week! But, now I am officially all caught up and plan to stay that way!
